Mahilan is a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania and the team leader of Library on Wheels. He is leading the launch of the program in rural Bengaluru, partnering with the One Billion Literate Foundation (OBLF) to survey villages, identify communities with the greatest literacy gaps, and bring books and learning resources directly to children who need them most.

Deyaan is a senior at Brandeis University and the founder of Library on Wheels. He conceived the initiative in 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of expanding access to books for underserved children. Today, he works closely with Mahilan to raise funds, catalogue books, and scale the program’s impact in India.

Bella Mallick is currently a senior at Townview School for the Talented and Gifted in Dallas, with a deep interest in ethical, education-focused initiatives. As a member of Library On Wheels, she contributes to program development and outreach, helping support the organization’s mission to expand access to educational resources for underserved communities. 

Suman Mallick is a private credit and angel investor and a portfolio manager. He currently serves on the boards of NexPlasmaGen and Affiniti. He has a strong interest in education and has previously served on the boards of Austin International School and the French American International School of Portland.

Udayan Guha is a physician-scientist with over 15 years of experience in academia, biotech, and pharma. He supports Library on Wheels through outreach and fundraising, helping expand access to books and educational resources for underserved communities.
